The Government's of Indonesia Announcement that it will Adjust the Minimum Price for Nickel Mines Could Spur Higher Prices for Stainless Steel
According to a previous announcement by Indonesian official Bambang Gatot Ariyono, the Government of Indonesia has set new minimum prices for nickel mines, mainly restricting the export of unprocessed nickel mines.
The new law will be implemented from may 14, and market participants expect that the implementation of the new law will further support nickel ore prices, and may even stimulate stainless steel prices to rise.
