Imports of stainless steel from Indonesia in Taiwan have soared in the past three years
According to Taiwan Customs statistics, the imports of stainless steel from Taiwan in 2017-2019 are as follows :1.0373 million tons in 2017,1.1172 million tons in 2018 and 1.0854 million tons in 2019, all of which are above the level of millions of tons, most of which are imported from mainland China and Indonesia.
Imports from Indonesia were only about 30,000 tons in 2017, with an increase of 1000%(330,000 tons) in 2018 and 58%(520,000 tons) in 2019. In addition, stainless steel hot rolled coils accounted for almost 80% of all imports in the last three years.
