According to the independent performance report issued by JSL, the sales of stainless steel in India increased by 9% to 8524.79 million tons from 7789.33 million tons in the previous fiscal year in the fiscal year ended March 31, 2018/2019, of which the fourth quarter increased by 10% to 2248.65 million tons annually, and the net sales increased by 17% to 125.85 million rupees from the same period last year. Among them, the fourth quarter annually increased by nearly 4% to 3251 million rupees; gross operating profit (EBITDA) decreased by about 11% to 1136 million rupees, of which the fourth quarter annually increased by nearly 33% to 302 million rupees; after-tax profit decreased by about 56% to 139 million rupees, of which the fourth quarter annually decreased by about 38% to 320 million rupees.
According to JSL, India's imports of stainless steel from Indonesia increased nearly 14 times in fiscal year 2018/2019.
