India's top four steel producers - Japan steel works, steel power Co., Ltd.,
Tata Steel and Indian steel authority Co., Ltd. - produced 14.95 million tons of
steel in the October December quarter of fiscal 2006. According to the
government of India, 2020-21 will grow by 6% over the same period of the
previous fiscal year.
Among the four steel companies, Tata Steel reported that only one steel plant in India had the highest steel output in the quarter from October to December, at 4.6 million tons, up 3% year-on-year.
According to the data, the Indian iron and steel authority reported production of 4.37 million tons in the quarter, up 9% year on year.
According to the data, the steel output of Japanese steel plants was 4.08 million tons, an increase of 2%, while the steel output of steel power company reached 1.9 million tons, an increase of 18%.
