Yelian, a leading stainless steel manufacturer in upstream Taiwan, announced on May 30 that its domestic and foreign stainless steel disc prices remained unchanged in June 2019.
Although the average nickel price in May was lower than that in April, the depreciation of the NT dollar resulted in a considerable increase in the cost of imported raw materials. At present, the overall market demand is not strong but has little change. The price of stainless steel is at a low level, and the market inventory is on the low side. The market is expected to gradually stabilize in the future.
